Is
it God’s Will For You To Be Healed?
Part
3
10
And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into
the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and
to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst
not,
11
And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and
wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees,
which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
12
Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought
thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
13
Thou shalt fear (have awe towards) the LORD thy God, and serve him,
and shalt swear by his name.
And
He repeats it again as if to emphasize the command to tell our
children.
Deut
11:18-28
18
Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your
soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as
frontlets between your eyes.
19
And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of
them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest
by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20
And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and
upon thy gates:
21
That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in
the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the
days of heaven upon the earth.
22
For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I
command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all
his ways, and to cleave unto him;
23
Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and
ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
24
Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be
yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river
Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
25
There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your
God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land
that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
26
Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
27
A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God,
which I command you this day:
28
And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD
your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you
this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
4.
Forgiveness
Not
only do we need to ask god for forgiveness but we need to forgive
others but only if they repent.
We have been taught that we must forgive others at all times
even if they have not repented of their transgressions against us,
but God will not forgive us unless we repent. Notice what this
important scripture says:
Luke
17:3-4
3
Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee,
rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven
times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt
forgive him.
Mark
11:25-26
25
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against
any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your
trespasses.
26
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in
heaven forgive your trespasses.
Pray
for others and God will heal you.
James
5:16
Confess
your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye
may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous
man availeth much.
5.
We must be Benevolent
If
you take care of others including taking care of the poor and the
disadvantaged:
Isa
58:8-11
8
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine
health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness
shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
9
Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt
cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the
midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and
speaking vanity;
10
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the
afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and
thy darkness be as the noonday:
11
And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in
drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered
garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
6.
Have God’s Peace
John
14:27
Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world
giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.
Cancer
is only a deficiency disease – of air, water, accumulated toxins
and an imbalance of the cells because of the lack of or imbalance in
minerals, vitamins enzymes, amino acids, improper foods and
intestinal flora that have been destroyed by excessive antibiotics,
and the growth of yeast from too much sugar, alcohol and vinegar in
our diet and stress in our lives and not enough sleep and exercise. It is the doctors who have convinced us that it is a fatal
disease and that they have the answer through the use of drugs and
radiation.
7.
Have Faith
Rom
10:17
So
then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word
of God.
Faith
is born in our hearts and minds as we understand the truth about
God’s promises.
John
8:32
And
ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
You
are delivered from the bondage of sin and sickness when we
understood that god promises healing for every single person who
believes and act on their belief.
In
order to have faith work in your own heart you have got to study it
until his Words come a part of your very existence.
Mark
13:31
Heaven
and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Ezek
12:25
For
I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak
shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in
your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will
perform it, saith the Lord GOD.
So
here is the foundation of faith.
Through the word, you understand that He guarantees your
healing and understand how He wants you to eat and live and to
exercise and you
understand that your body is his temple and you follow his natural
health laws and you begin to act on His Word
and after a little while you find that acting on his Word
becomes absolutely natural and then you will understand that
God has the ability to meet every need that you have.
Faith does not involve sight.
You plant a seed and you have faith that it will grow.
You don’t dig it up to see how it is doing.
When you pray, you know that He has heard you and will start
to bring his promises to pass. The disciples did not believe the report of the women who
said that they had seen two angles who told them that He had risen.
Luke
24:1-11
1
Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they
came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had
prepared, and certain others with them.
2
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3
And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold,
two men stood by them in shining garments:
5
And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth,
they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he
was yet in Galilee,
7
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful
men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8
And they remembered his words,
9
And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the
eleven, and to all the rest.
10
It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and
other women that were with them, which told these things unto the
apostles.
11
And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they
believed them not.
Heb
11:1-9
1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen.
2
For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word
of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which
do appear.
4
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain,
by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying
of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was
not found, because God had translated him: for before his
translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of
them that diligently seek him.
7
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved
with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which
he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which
is by faith.
8
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place
which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he
went out, not knowing whither he went.
9
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange
country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs
with him of the same promise:
Notice
what the Words were by Jesus said to the doubting Thomas who
demanded to see with his eyes first before he would believe.
John
20:24-31
24
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them
when Jesus came.
25
The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord.
But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the
print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails,
and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas
with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the
midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27
Then saith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my
hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be
not faithless, but believing. (In other words, if he
chose to not believe, he would not have been able to do it. Like
Mary, who did not believe that Jesus was risen form the dead, was
not able to recognize the Christ because she was looking for a dead
Jesus instead of the promised risen Jesus.)
28
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast
believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have
believed. (Do you want to be among the blessed? Then just
believe in His promises of healing and you shall receive it.)
30
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his
disciples, which are not written in this book:
31
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the
Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life
through his name.
Many
Christians don’t believe that Jesus is in the midst of them unless
they see some manifestations. When
your eyes are on your symptoms instead of on the Word
of God, then you are more occupied with what is going on in
your life than you are with the promises of God.
You have planted tares of doubt rather than the wheat of
victorious living. Doubt
your doubts. Sight and
feelings belong to the carnal man.
No one is asking you to deny your symptoms.
Believe in the Word of
God and follow what the Word of God says.
Again, what did Abraham do?
Rom
4:18-25
18
Who against hope believed in hope, that he might
become the father of many nations; according to that which was
spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body
now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the
deadness of Sara's womb:
20
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but
was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was
able also to perform.
22
And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23
Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to
him;
24
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on
him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for
our justification.
We
need to be strongly convinced that God has promised our healing and
that He is able to perform it.
Notice the last two verses show that all this was done for
not only Abraham but “for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if
we believe on him that raised up Jesus our lord from the dead: who
was delivered for out offences, and was raised again for our
justification.”
To
most people faith is just a theory but you can make it a fact and a
power in your own life and like Dr. Day be a witness to others of
God’s promises are able to come true for you too since He is not a
respecter of persons. What
Dr. Day found is the Word of
God was for her healing personally.
1
Cor 16:13
Watch
ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Faith
(Jesus) is the victory and God always honors faith.
1
John 5:4-15
4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this
is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth
that Jesus is the Son of God?
6
This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by
water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that
beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. (Jesus said I am the
truth, the way and the life declaring himself to be God manifested
in the flesh.)
7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the
Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the
water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for
this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in
himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar;
because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal
life, and this life is in his Son.
12
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son
of God hath not life.
13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name
of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and
that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we
ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know
that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Mental
assent believes that the Bible is revelation from God and that every
Word in it is true, but
when a crisis comes in their lives, it doesn’t work. It is true what He says about Himself and it is true what He
says about you. Faith
is the result of the Word dwelling
in us; being a part of us. “It
is written.”
Ps
34:19-22
19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD
delivereth him out of them all. (Not from some of them but
from all of them.)
20
He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. (Not one of the
bones of Jesus was broken on the cross as He was already dead when
the soldiers went to brake them)
21
Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall
be desolate.
22
The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none
of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
“Afflictions”
in verse 19 means trials, hardships and persecutions, but He did
bear all of our sins and our sicknesses so we don’t have to bear
them.
1
Peter 5:10
But
the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by
Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you
perfect (mature), stablish, strengthen, settle you.
What
were Paul’s afflictions? Some say that he suffered from blindness and some sickness.
But Paul says:
2
Cor 11:23-33
23
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in
labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more
frequent, in deaths oft.
24
Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
25
Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I
suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
26
In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers,
in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in
perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the
sea, in perils among false brethren;
27
In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger
and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
28
Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me
daily, the care of all the churches.
29
Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?
30
If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which
concern mine infirmities. (He does not say sicknesses or
diseases)
31
The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for
evermore, knoweth that I lie not.
32
In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the
Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:
33
And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and
escaped his hands.
Paul
enumerates his reproaches, beatings, dishonor and evil reports.
Sickness is not mentioned and no one has a right to insert
it. Anytime that
sickness is mentioned He show that it is an evil from which He came
to deliver us.
What
about Paul’s ‘thorn in the flesh’?
2
Cor 12:7-10
7
And lest I should be exalted above measure through the
abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the
flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I
should be exalted above measure.
8
For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from
me.
9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my
strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I
rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest
upon me.
10
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for
when I am weak, then am I strong.
Clearly,
then, Paul’s ‘thorn in the flesh’ was not sickness when he
says “will I rather glory in my (his) infirmities” but was “the
messenger of Satan” who was buffeting him with infirmities
in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses.
Num
33:55
But
if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before
you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of
them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides,
and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
The
inhabitant of Canaan were a ‘thorn in their sides, meaning blow
after blow. God sent
Ananias to Paul to heal Paul of his blindness and scales fell from
his eyes.
Acts
9:17-18
17
And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting
his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that
appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that
thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18
And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been
scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
A
mob expelled him from Antioch, Thesthia, Mika and Beria, he was
stoned in Lystra and left for dead, beaten three times with 39
latches each, jailed at Phillippi, mobbed at Corinth, seized by the
Jews, mobbed, tried in court 5 times, shipwrecked, and bitten by a
poisonous viper. Who
but Satan could be responsible for all these buffetings and
sufferings but not once does Paul mention sickness or disease.
8.
The Importance of Your Words
If
you say you don’t have faith, at that moment you become paralyzed
from your doubt. We are
ruled by our words. Fear
immobilizes you.
Prov
6:2
Thou
art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the
words of thy mouth.
Our
words form our confession of God’s word.
Ex
23:25
And
ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and
thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of
thee.
We
have to confess that.
Ps
103:3-18
3
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy
diseases;
4
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with
lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy
youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6
The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are
oppressed.
7
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of
Israel.
8
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in
mercy.
9
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for
ever.
10
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according
to our iniquities.
11
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his
mercy toward them that fear him.
12
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed
our transgressions from us.
13
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth
them that fear him.
14
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15
As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he
flourisheth.
16
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof
shall know it no more.
17
But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting
upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's
children;
18
To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his
commandments to do them.
You
harmonize your language with His language.
Faith
never knows defeat. Faith never trembles, faith thrives on a test,
faith is never overpowered, faith looks directly to the Word of God
(Jesus – John 1:1 )
John
1:1-14
1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.
2
The same was in the beginning with God.
3
All things were made by him (He was God Almighty in the
flesh); and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it
not.
6
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all
men through him might believe.
8
He was not that Light (John the Baptist), but was sent to bear
witness of that Light (Jesus).
9
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into
the world.
10
He was in the world, and the world was made by him,
and the world knew him not.
11
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of
the will of man, but of God.
14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and
we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full of grace and truth.
Faith
knows full well that God will do what He says He will do.
Don’t pray for the same things over and over again nor for
your healing over and over again… make your request be known to
god and leave the results to Him.
Only thank Him for His promises to come to pass (that He will
heal you). A wrong
confession brings defeat and failure and the supremacy of satan.
When you get into your symptoms and how sick you are and that
God is not doing anything for you, He can’t heal you because you
have doubt and don’t believe Him.
James 1:7 says of the doubting mind, “Let not that man
think he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”
What
you are really saying is that satan is really stronger than the
Lord. Read the Word of
God and confess the Word and act on the Word.
Ps
27:1-11
1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD
is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat
up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not
fear: though war should rise against me, in this will
I be confident.
4
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I
may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to
behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
5
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion:
in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set
me up upon a rock (Jesus Christ is that Rock.).
6
And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about
me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I
will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
7
Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon
me, and answer me.
8
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee,
Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
9
Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger:
thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of
my salvation.
10
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will
take me up.
11
Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of
mine enemies.
Christ
hath borne your sicknesses and
your diseases.
Isa
53:3-5
3
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted
with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was
despised, and we esteemed him not.
4
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with
his stripes we are healed.
Matt
8:16-17
16
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were
possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word,
and healed all that were sick:
17
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet,
saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Satan
cannot bring sickness on you. Only
you can do that to yourself. Satan
knows that he is defeated but he knows that only when you discover
it are you free from his bondage.
